Sola Wood Flowers are made from a plant that grows wild in marsh areas, and is one of the lightest known woods. Technically the plant is called Aeschynomene Aspera, but it is commonly referred to as "sola". The center is made into thin sheets which are then used to creat the flowers by hand. Every single Sola flower has been created by hand..no machines are used! This makes each flower slightly different and unique, which, in turn, makes your piece truly one-of-a-kind!
Benefits of Sola:
The flowers can be hand-dyed to achieve the exact color that you want, and the best part is: THEY DON'T WILT AND DIE like live flowers! They are beautiful, incredibly realistic, individual pieces of art created by hand. Not only are they long-lasting, but they are environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic for those sensitive to to live plants.
Care Instructions:
Even though Sola flowers are stronger and more durable than live flowers, they are still delicate and can get damaged with rough handling. In general, keep the flowers in a cool area, and away from direct sun exposure. If you feel they need cleaned, we recommend a blow dryer on a low cool setting or a compressed air.
